Floral and balanced, with notes of bergamot, jasmine & sweet berries.
We don't believe you can classify a coffee with a single number, but still, this one scores 90 points! Why so high? Because the intensity of florals is everything you would hope for in a good Yirgacheffe. Distinct notes of jasmine and bergamot are backed up by a delicious sweetness and clarity in the cup. That's thanks to the farmers who allowed the cherries to fully ripen for maximum sweetness. We've given this certified organic coffee a light roast for filter preparations.
James's Opinion: This coffee is one of my favourites. Filter only -dont use for espresso! and my choice is french press but would be delicious using a V 60. Grind very coarse (like rock salt) and once poured let it sit for 4 minutes before you push down. Try black to get the flavour and try to stick to 2 scoops of coffee per person.
